Attorney Brandon Pettijohn fell in love with Southeastern North Carolina after being stationed here with the United States Marine Corps in 2009. Brandon was an enlisted Marine, a decorated combat veteran of the War in Afghanistan, and later served on the All Marine Wrestling Team.
After being honorably discharged, Brandon returned to his home state of Indiana to attend the University of Indianapolis, where he received his Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice. Following his undergraduate studies, Brandon attended Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law where he received his Doctor of Jurisprudence.
Prior to and while attending law school, Brandon served as a corrections officer, probation officer, problem-solving court case manager, and implemented policy at the state level as the first ever Veterans Court Coordinator for the State of Indiana as appointed by the Chief Justice of the Indiana Supreme Court. In Wilmington, Brandon worked with the Chief District Court Judge to bring a veterans court to New Hanover County and serves on that team as the appointed defense attorney for all veteran participants.
Brandon brings years of military, life, and legal experience to his practice in order to better serve his clients on a daily basis. He lives in Leland, North Carolina, is a blue belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and likes to spend his time competing in international tournaments and coaching the kids class in his spare time. Brandon is a purple belt in Jiu Jitsu and was the 2023 IBJFF Master 1 No Gi Blue Belt Heavyweight World Champion.
Jamie practices primarily in the area of family law; including child custody, child support, alimony, equitable distribution, premarital agreements, separation agreements, adoption and divorce. She has served as Guardian ad Litem in incompetency and guardianship proceedings. Jamie also represents parents in cases involving the Department of Social Services.
Jamie is from Winston-Salem, North Carolina. After college, Jamie worked at the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a legislative aide. She returned to North Carolina in 2006 for law school and was a member of the charter class of Elon University School of Law. She was previously an associate attorney at Speaks Law Firm and Block, Crouch, Keeter, Behm & Sayed.

With eight years of dedicated service as an attorney, Kayla brings a wealth of experience from her time at the Allegheny County Public Defender’s Office and as an associate at Pennington & Smith.
At the Public Defender’s Office, Kayla skillfully represented clients in complex criminal cases, honing a deep understanding of the legal system and a commitment to justice. Transitioning to family law, Kayla has leveraged this experience to advocate for clients through sensitive and challenging family matters, including custody disputes, divorce, and protective orders. Known for her empathetic approach and strategic acumen, Kayla is dedicated to providing exceptional legal representation and support. In addition Kayla is an approved parenting coordinator in North Carolina.
Kayla was born and raised in Ohio until she moved to Pittsburgh for law school. Kayla graduated summa cum laude from Youngstown State University with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. Kayla then graduated from Duquesne University with her juris doctorate.

Megan Wilson is a veteran of the United States Navy and a native of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. While serving on active duty in the Navy, Megan was stationed aboard the USS Nimitz (CVN-68) in the State of Washington where she deployed aboard the Nimitz for a tour of duty.
After being honorably discharged from the Navy, Megan spent some time on the west coast and obtained an Associates Degree in Respiratory Therapy (Cum Laude) and Bachelors Degree in Healthcare Administration.
Megan left the sunny beaches of California for the sunny beaches of Wilmington, North Carolina in 2020 while working as a civilian contractor with the U.S. Navy's Pacific Fleet. Megan is now a resident of Wilmington, NC, is the paralegal to Brandon C. Pettijohn, Esq., and she is pursuing an associates degree in Paralegal Technologies at Cape Fear Community College in downtown Wilmington.
